[Pharmacist] Good afternoon! Are you here for your vaccinations? [Customer] Yes, I'd like to get the flu shot and the updated COVID booster. [Pharmacist] Great. Have you filled out the consent forms at the front desk? [Customer] Yes, here they are. [Pharmacist] Perfect. Let me review them... Okay, no allergies to eggs or previous vaccine reactions. Can we give both vaccines today, one in each arm? [Customer] Is it safe to get both at the same time? [Pharmacist] Yes, the CDC recommends that it's safe to receive both simultaneously. You might have slightly more soreness than getting one at a time. [Customer] That's fine. I'd rather get it done in one visit. [Pharmacist] I'll do the flu shot in your left arm and the COVID booster in your right. You'll feel a small pinch... And the first one is done. Now the other arm... All done! [Customer] That was quick! Any side effects I should expect? [Pharmacist] You may experience soreness at the injection sites for a day or two. Some people also get mild fatigue, headache, or low-grade fever. These are normal signs that your immune system is responding. [Customer] Should I take ibuprofen beforehand? [Pharmacist] We don't recommend taking pain relievers before vaccination, as they may reduce the immune response. But you can take them afterward if you experience discomfort. [Customer] Got it. Do I need to wait here afterward? [Pharmacist] Please sit in the waiting area for fifteen minutes so we can monitor for any immediate reactions. Rare, but it's a safety precaution.
