Strengths and Weaknesses

Interviewer: What would you say is your greatest strength? Candidate: My greatest strength is analytical problem-solving. In my current role, I built a forecasting model that predicted quarterly sales within a two percent margin of error. My manager often assigns me complex problems because I break them down systematically. Interviewer: And what about your greatest weakness? Candidate: Honestly, I used to struggle with delegation. As someone who takes pride in their work, I wanted to do everything myself. I realised this was unsustainable and started actively working on it. Interviewer: How did you address it? Candidate: I implemented a framework where I categorize tasks by impact and complexity. Now I delegate low-complexity tasks to junior team members and use it as a coaching opportunity. My team's output has actually increased by twenty-five percent since I made this change. Interviewer: That shows real self-awareness. Thank you for sharing that.
