An Interactive Story
The storm has the mountain tonight. Keep the stove lit and the lamp in the window, and hold the refuge till first light.
A story where you are the hero — and every choice turns you to a new page. Written for people learning English, at your level, with meaning in your language whenever you need it.
You are the hero
Not a course. A world you choose your way through.
A whiteout closes over a high mountain refuge at dusk, and the old warden is hurt inside. Keeping the stove lit and the lamp in the window — the one beacon for anyone caught out on the mountain — is on you now. You have until first light to hold the refuge, and whoever the storm sends, against the cold. What you do next is yours to choose — and the English bends to your level while you read.
Every choice turns a page
Branching sections, twelve endings to find. Read it again and the story goes differently.
A2, B1 or B2 — you decide
The same story, three depths of English. Move up when you’re ready; nothing is dumbed down.
English Reading Adventures
A standalone story. One of many.
Every English Reading Adventures book is its own world — its own night, its own look, read on its own. When you’ve found your way through this one, another is waiting in the library.
The story begins. The next choice is yours.
